then, I eventually decided I was being an
idiot.
I KNEW better. I new eBooks were
easier to create, more profitable, etc.that I was just procrastinating,
JUST because I hated typing HTML. In my world - the world of Software
products - I KNEW that "he who creates the
product, makes the BIG bucks." Apparently, eBooks are no
different.
Duh.
I also KNEW, that eBooks, boring or
not, are a BILLION DOLLAR industry. People buy them. Lots of them. They
buy, in sheer numbers, more eBooks than software. They are easier to make
MORE Viral than software ever could be. eBooks have a LOT more profit
potential.
I WANTED to cash in on the
INSANE PROFITS
people make with "their own" eBooks
You would be AMAZED what it takes to keep 6 "biting babies" fed, clothed,
educated. I needed to have another, easier, faster way to make
money besides writing software. Resell Rights, I had already learned, was
NOT it.
But
there was still the problem of all
that extra software and work to make a complete eBook. And I STILL
DETEST HTML.
And then there is
the BIGGER problem of trying to fight -
even with 'my own' ebook - all that possible competition with a boring
looking product.
I
sat on the porch with my youngest son, Keegan, one afternoon, watching him
play with the coolest toy. I had never seen an RC (radio controlled) toy
quite like that. Instead of a helicopter (he loves helicopters), it was a
'Flying Saucer' looking thing. "oh my gosh Dad, this is so cool
looking..."
I had an
Epiphany:
IF I could make eBooks really EASY
and FAST, WITHOUT the need for HTML!! I'd have lots of them, fast. That
would Break the First Wall: 'My own VIRAL products'
IF MY eBooks were
NOT boring, were UNUSUAL,
stood out - If they looked "Cool," they
would be Easy to Sell. If mine were DIFFERENT from every other eBook out
there, and FUN.
My own(!) Cool eBook would
crack the Second Wall: 'competition'
NOW I was getting fired up, both as an engineer AND a potential
eBook "author." :-)
All I needed was ONE piece of
software that would SAVE me HOURS of extra, frustrating WORK trying to use
MULTIPLE software programs.
AND I
WANTED EASY.
Super EASY. "I can barely use a PC"
easy. I like easy. It does not affront my pride to do things the easy way.
Besides, if it is EASY work, I can finish FAST. A short 'time to
market.' I have 6 children. I am busy.
Truth be told:
I wanted to create eBooks with
DAZZLE, FAST but without doing much
work or any writing at all - or as little
as possible.
(I actually know ways to do
that - 'write' eBooks with little or no writing - but you need the help
of software like this to do it.)
Obviously, I was looking for
something special. But I was sure it was out there somewhere.
My Vision
for KILLING competition I called
WOW!eBooks.

WOW!eBooks would be easy to sell. A 'no brainer' there.

WOW!eBooks would certainly stand out, and make the
competitors 'normal' eBooks look weak and boring by comparison.

WOW!eBooks could be, thanks to WOW!, shorter in length. Even
only a few pages. And STILL be 'perceived' as valuable!
Easy to sell. Easy to make. Less work. eBooks could be shorter. Slaps the
competition upside their head...oh yeh, I was really going to hate all
that.
